After the wind and rain of Storm Ciara and Dennis, who wouldn’t want to look ahead to brighter times? This week we are focusing on three core brands from the Tortoise+Black family.
The JC Collection – Look out for the latest interlocking JC initials logo, which according to the brand’s creative director Sandra Choi “reflects the notion of Jimmy Choo as a gem in and of itself”. The JC Collection has been seen on bags and shoes since Autumn Winter 2019, and now makes its debut into eyewear.
Wave Temples – A signature Jimmy Choo design statement for 2020, these playful temples work across various shapes from on-trend squares to delicate wires and the unique demi-cat-eye Iona. The wave design also incorporates shimmering glitter details, another Jimmy Choo hallmark. This can also be found in the classic Axelle and Lilo, perhaps our favourite piece for this season.
Fresh from designing ‘that suit’ for Harry Styles at the Brits after party, Marc Jacobs is back. This season, look out for the new ‘The Marc Jacobs’ branding. Named after the designer’s Instagram account, this new direction is about individual pieces rather than a full look. Lending itself seamlessly to eyewear, we are confident this will be a key return to form for the brand.
Timeless pieces and understated design remain a key signature for Hugo Boss in 2020. However, partnerships with Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne show the brand is one to watch this year. In particular, we love the on trend flat top BOSS 1127/S, a firm Instagram favourite. Carbon fibre detailing, tubular temples and adjustable tips elevate the collection from simply fashion to performance must haves.
