For spring summer 2019, Stella McCartney Eyewear introduces a new collection of styles inspired by the ready-to-wear collection.
Naturally confident, effortlessly sexy and modern, the designer’s signature details are conveyed throughout the range in an array of bold, yet playful shapes and colours for a fresh approach to seasonal eyewear.
For the women’s collection, classic easy-to-wear styles are punctuated by vintage inspired double bridge aviator sunglasses offered in a range of colours and the new Stella iconic logo designs; a modern flat mask with the brand logo applied in studs across the top lens reimagined in both a pilot style and a wraparound mask. The signature Falabella chain is also reinterpreted in a statement cateye, with the signature Falabella metal chain finely applied on the front rim, and a modern square design made with eco leather.
Statement cat-eye sunglasses and a fun snake mask design are featured within the Kids range this season, where vivid colours embracing a bold play on shapes sit alongside mini-me styles that link back the women’s ready-to-wear styles. Optical glasses are also part of the story, with a retro oversize semi-rimless combi design available for women and the Falabella statement cat-eye style offered to both women and kids, alongside classic rectangular and round square glasses.
Supporting Stella McCartney’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, the collection has been developed and created using the most advanced technology and ethically sourced materials such as bio-acetate, which is made from renewable raw materials. Made using fibres from seeds (cotton) and wood (conifers and broadleaves); bio-acetate is phthalate free – making it 100% eco-friendly, 100% biodegradable, 100% recyclable.
